This Privacy Policy describes:
- what data we collect
- how we use it
- how we protect it
This policy applies to all services, products, and functionalities of ZEEF (the "Services").
2. Users
ZEEF uses a single user model:
Users: everyone with an account on the platform
Within the platform, Users can perform various activities, such as managing pages or publishing content.
For privacy and legal purposes, all account holders are considered Users.
3. Information Collection
ZEEF follows the principle of minimal data collection.
We only collect data necessary for the functioning and improvement of the Services.

Username, password, and optional profile information.
Communication data
Information you provide through support, email, or interactions within the platform.
Contact information (optional)
If you share contact information, it may be stored in encrypted or hashed form.
Payment information (if applicable)
Payments are processed by our payment service provider Stripe. ZEEF does not store complete card or bank details; these are processed directly by Stripe.
Business invoicing details (for paid company pages)
For a paid company page subscription, we record the legal company name, the Chamber of Commerce (KvK) or VAT number, the billing country, and the billing email address, together with the time and version of the accepted terms.
3.2 Automatically Collected Information
Technical data
IP address (anonymized where possible), browser, device, and operating system.
Usage data
Interactions such as clicks, searches, scroll behavior, and feature usage.
Location data (global)
Derived from IP address for regional relevance and legal compliance.
4. Use of Data
ZEEF uses personal data exclusively for providing and improving the Services. This includes:
- Account management and access

- Security and fraud prevention
Important
ZEEF:

- does not treat private drafts or non-public pages as public content
Legal Bases (GDPR)
We process personal data only on one of the following legal bases under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR):
Performance of a contract
For account management, providing the Services, and handling paid subscriptions (Article 6(1)(b) GDPR).
Legal obligation
For retaining invoicing and tax records and complying with other legal duties (Article 6(1)(c) GDPR).
Legitimate interest
For security, fraud prevention, abuse mitigation, and improving the Services, balanced against your interests (Article 6(1)(f) GDPR).
Consent
For non-essential cookies (chat, analytics, marketing), which you can withdraw at any time (Article 6(1)(a) GDPR).
5. Sharing & Disclosure
ZEEF only shares personal data when necessary for service provision or legally required.
5.1 Interactions Between Users
When Users interact within the platform (e.g., through content or communication), limited information may be visible or shared, such as:
- name
- email address (if relevant to the functionality)
5.2 Service Providers
ZEEF uses external service providers for infrastructure and communication. Examples:
- database and hosting providers (such as Supabase or similar cloud providers)
- email services (such as Google Workspace and Resend)
- payment processing (Stripe, which may process payment data in the United States)
- live chat support (Chatwoot, with servers in the United States)
- web analytics (Google Analytics)
These parties process data exclusively on behalf of ZEEF and under appropriate security measures.
5.3 Legal Requirements
ZEEF may share personal data when necessary:
- to comply with laws and regulations
- to protect rights, safety, or property
5.4 Public Pages, Search Engines, and AI Systems
When you publish content on ZEEF or make a page public, the content and related public metadata may be publicly accessible and may be indexed, cached, analyzed, summarized, quoted, linked to, or otherwise processed by search engines, AI crawlers, archiving services, browsers, and other third-party systems.
ZEEF cannot control how third parties use public content after they have accessed, indexed, cached, copied, or processed it. If you remove public content from ZEEF, it may still remain visible in third-party search results, caches, AI systems, archives, screenshots, or copies outside ZEEF's control.
6. International Data Transfers
ZEEF strives to process personal data within the European Union as much as possible.
If data is processed outside the EU, we ensure appropriate safeguards in accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).
Specifically, our payment service provider (Stripe), our live chat provider (Chatwoot), and our web analytics (Google Analytics) process data in the United States. These transfers are covered by appropriate safeguards, such as the EU Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs) and, where applicable, the EU-US Data Privacy Framework. Chat and analytics load only after you have given consent via the cookie banner; payment processing via Stripe occurs only when you take out a paid subscription yourself.
7. Security & Data Retention
ZEEF takes appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect personal data. This includes:
- encryption of data during transport (HTTPS)
- limited access to systems
- use of secure cloud infrastructure
Data Retention
Personal data is not retained longer than necessary for:
- providing the Services
- complying with legal obligations
Upon account deletion, data is deleted or anonymized, unless storage is legally required. We retain invoicing and payment records for seven years under the statutory tax retention obligation.
